Océanisé-e-s
the storm is inside my body
as if I have swallowed it
it pounds against the inside of my skull
how do you keep from drowning in yourself
how do you restore calm
is there a shelter within yourself when the storm rages?
There is a man and a woman.
He decides to leave; to go out to sea, alone, in a small boat.
They say goodbye awkwardly. She stays ashore. He casts off the ropes.
From that moment on, they live in two different realities, connected yet separated by the same element: the sea.
There is his life on the water: the solitude, the violence of the weather and the waves.
There is her life on land, with the quiet question of why he chose to leave – beyond the horizon, into the middle of nowhere.
Gradually, they lose their connection. Neither of them knows how the other is doing anymore.
The ocean is a primal force.
The ocean imposes itself.
The ocean takes over.
