Women of the World
A bold tribute to female composers from across the globe!
Women of the World is a celebration of diversity and femininity—two qualities still too often overlooked in the classical music scene. BL!NDMAN [strings] curates a dynamic performance featuring seven distinctive works by contemporary female composers from around the world.
With Women of the World, the ensemble offers a vibrant portrayal of female voices in modern music. BL!NDMAN [strings] showcases its unique style by expanding the traditional string quartet with the addition of Japanese dobachi and unconventional combinations, such as the cello paired with a bass drum. This global influence creates an exciting cross-cultural fusion of new sounds and perspectives.
Through this inventive expansion of their repertoire, BL!NDMAN [strings] reinforces its commitment to adventure and innovation. As they explore new sonic landscapes that cross national borders, the string quartet celebrates intercultural diversity and reveals its most original, daring side.
