BL!NDMAN plays MOONDOG teaser
Moondog, the blind magician who, dressed in Viking garb, paved the streets of New York with poetry and music in the 1960s.Thousands of sonatas, songs, suites and symphonies he composed for orchestra, brass band, percussion, piano, organ, string and saxophone ensemble. While singing his disarmingly lyrical madrigals, BL!NDMAN enters Moondog’s wonderful world with tuba, saxophones, flutes, tubax, electric guitars, piano, synthesizer and percussion of all kinds. This vast instrumental universe is filled with the ambience of the streets of New York and Moondog’s enigmatic quotations. BL!NDMAN’s interpretation is respectful of Moondog’s world. The songs, brass and woodwind pieces and especially the percussion are played in the spirit of Moondog. BL!NDMAN plays MOONDOG is a concert that breathes the street, where spirituality and poetry come together in a musical world of uncommon generosity.
