Holy Places, Holy Books

Holy Places, Holy Books brings Rome, Mecca and Jerusalem to Antwerp. Discover the differences and similarities between Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

Eric Sleichim, composer in residence at the MAS, created a sound sculpture for this exhibition. He was also asked to provide the music for the opening and presents the very first project with BL!NDMAN [hybrid]. A singer (Reut Rivka), a qanun player (Osama Abdulrasol) and a percussionist (Etienne Plumer) form a unique quartet around Eric Sleichim (saxophones & electronics). With the 3 monotheistic religions as a starting point they present a program meandering from contemplation to ecstasy.
