Chanteurs d'oiseaux
La Capilla (formerly Capilla Flamenca) and BL!NDMAN join forces for the opening concert of the Festival of Flanders – Ghent in the beautiful Saint Bavo Cathedral.
Inspired by the festival theme La Sauvagerie, both ensembles delved into early music to put together a unique programme in which animals play a role as spiritual leaders, as mere decoration or as devils. An aural journey from Janequin through Willaert to Lassus and Gesualdo. Les Chanteurs d’Oiseaux, virtuoso in imitating – you can guess – bird sounds, improvise in response to the music.
