The ‘Young Composers Project’ is being realised in collaboration with Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten (Gent) en Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Utrecht).

Young Composers Project
4 young composers, all under 30, have been selected through an international call for works: Jesse Broekman (NL), Miguel Farias (CL), Yu Oda (JP) en Lauren Redhead (UK).
During 2 years they receive the possibility to experiment and closely collaborate with Eric Sleichim and the BL!NDMAN-collective, enjoying the ensemble’s know-how on electronics, performance-practice, dramaturgy and dialogue with other art disciplines.
The composers are also paired with visual artists of HISK, with whom they will create a piece. This project, coached by Eric Sleichim and Oscar Van den Boogaard, will be presented under the name BL!SK.
On 11th February 2012, the artists of HISK and the composers meet each other for the first time in Ghent. On 11th June 2012 they present the first results of their collaboration during an internal showcase at HISK. On 7th September, Gaudeamus, organises a performance with the final results of this collabration at the Centraal Museum in Utrecht.
